Sobre este artículo

London, UK Chapman and Hall, 1935. Hardcover First Edition UK (1935), unstated. First Edition UK (1935), unstated. Very Good in Good only DJ: The Book shows fairly mild bumping to the lower corners, which nevertheless are somewhat soft and the text pages show a slightly bend near the lower corner; a small stain at the bottom edge of the rear panel; the text pages have tanned ever so slightly; the binding is somewhat cocked and shows slight spine lean, but remains perfectly secure; the text is clean. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia in the text. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome copy, tightly bound, showing a minor flaws. Not far from 'As New'. The DJ shows farily heavy wear to the extremities, with loss to chipping at the upper rear panel and at the corner tips; moderate rubbing to the panels; the price has been clipped; mylar-protected. Serviceable only, due the damage to the rear panel, but the striking image on the front panel is intact. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 4to. (10 x 7.5 x 0.8 inches). Unpaginated (about 100 pages). 48 Sepia-toned plates. Foreward by the Editor of the Bystander, R.S. Hooper. Cream-toned buckram cloth over boards with brown titles at the front panel and backstrip. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs of female nudes in a variety of poses set of course in shadow. Language: English. Weight: 2 pound, 2 ounces. Hardback with DJ. Everard, a British World War I veteran and former tea planter, became a self-taught press and studio photographer after the war and from the late 1920s into the 1960s was a noted photographer of nudes, writing a number of books on the subject. "Adam's Fifth Rib" is an early work.
