Sobre este artículo
Providence: H.H. Brown, 1843. Daniel O'Connell, "The Liberator," formed a an association in Ireland to support repealing the Act of Union. Branches were also formed in the United States. Importantly, in addition to the political support, these diaspora organizations also raised funds. Here is a pamphlet reporting an impassioned speech delivered to the Providence chapter. A rare item. In wraps, 23 pages sewn together. Very good (Plus) condition, with the textblock very bright and clear. The back cover is an advert by Walsh for his forthcoming works. Some chipping to the top right corner of the front, which has light darkening. An important example of Irish nationalism in America. . First Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
