Sobre este artículo
Frankfurt am Mayn: Anthoni Hummen ist edition, 1655. Hardcover. Very Good. Engraved title page with 8 scenes incl. 4 evangelists + Moses etc. + angel showing a city and another city being beleaguered by cannon and an army.. Quarto near contemporary tooled leather boards with ruled into diamond shaped fields with central foliate design and smaller surrounding stars later spine reback omtp 3 raised bands and recornered [some leather scrapes to cover/splitting to upper hinge and edges worn/head of spine quite chipped down] Pictorial title + Printed title with swan publisher;s emblem + [10p= dedication]] + [2p= priviledge to print +index of chapters +486pp + manuscript register of pages. Some foxing and paper browning throughout but black letter text clear and sharp and entirely legible. Minor underlining and annotations to text. Titlepage with amusing note it seems the one line biblical quotation ascribed to Proverbs 19 verse 14 is a mistake, there is no such verse and previous owner has written in Psal.Xci as the actual location of the quotation. Handwritten near contemporary (possibly contemporary) notes on endpage, labled as register. Quite scarce we could only find one location [German National Library]
