London: Charles Griffin & Company Limited. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1945/46. 2nd Edition Revised. Hard cover. Two volume set. Red cloth over boards with gilt lettering on spines. Both have some wear at the corners and head and tail of spines. There is some fraying at the heads, and volume 1 has a 3/4 inch tear along spine from top edge. There is a small damp stain on the top corners of the back of volume 1 and the front cover of volume 2. The previous owner's stamp is on the front and rear paste downs of both volumes, and his signature on the front free endpapers. The bindings are sound and the pages clean and unmarked. Lacking dust wrappers. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 457; 521 pages .
