Published by Adam & Charles Black, 1904 (Circa.). Hardback. Good. Illustrated by Grier, Louis & Botticelli, & Rembrandt, & Gainsborough, Thomas & et al., . Almost very good condition with no wrapper. Blue cloth with gilt titles to spine and front cover; black borders. Top edge gilt. With 24 illustrations, 8 of which are reproduced in the colours of the original paintings, and 16 are in b/w. 301 pages, plus 1 page advert for book by the same author. Additional 4 page booklist (dated Spring 1904). A & C Black Colour Book in the 7/6 series. Circa date is taken from the booklist to rear (dated Spring 1904). The 1st printings of this title did NOT have these 4 page booklists, but assumed an early reprint in same year as first. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Spotting to covers. Browning to spine. Prelims are roughly opened - one b/w plate has margin tears/ragged edges. Small nick to edge of frontis. Some foxing and browning.

If a book is found to be substantially not as described then we shall provide a full refund including return postage otherwise you shall be repsonible for cost of return postage.
