privately Printed for The Library of Facetious Lore, 1927. Limited ed. Hardcover. Near Fine. Quarto in grass green cloth over orange paper covered boards, paper title lable on spine. Orange endpapers patterned in gilt. Illustrated with erotic drawings in black and white. One of 750 numbered copies only of which this is No. 651. Ming Dynasty erotic Chinese book that according to legend was written by Feng Chow Wang on paper soaked in poison which would interest its recipient because of its contect but ultimately kill him. Though this tale is a hoax, the book was one of those banned in the U.S. and copies were seized as late as 1928. A tight, bright near fine example, aprticularly scarce in he original binding. This copy shows very minor wear at the tips and a bit to the fore edge of the rear cover. A very collectible copy of a scarce title.
