Black boards noticeably bumped on both head and heel of backstrip, plus front board. Portrait-illustrated dustjacket significantly edgeworn, with jagged open and closed tears on spine, together with colour faded text on same. Otherwise, mild abrading and soiling. This title is a collection of Norman Mailer's penmanship, displaying a broad ability in the fields of stories, essays, articles, short novels, and other forms. He begins with a story he wrote while still at college, and ends with a forecast of the immensely ambitious novel on which he is (was) currently working . . . Listed are two tables of contents, for which he gives an explanation. Born in 1923, Norman Mailer died in 2007. Book weight approx. 740g.. First U.K.. Hardcover and Dustjacket.
