London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1936. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Original green cloth, gilt lettering spine. The book has clean covers and the spine cloth is not faded which almost always the case, Light foxing on a few early and late pages mainly opposite photo plates, solid binding, some light fore-edge foxing, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages. The very uncommon original dust jacket has 5mm deep loss across the top of the spine, a 20mm x 20mm loss lower spine corner, small loss at corner tips, foxing spots rear panel, original price still present on front flap corner. The book measures 228mm tall x 144mm, and has 339 pages, 22 b/w photo plates, folfing map + EP map, bibliography, index. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL ITEM BEING OFFERED.
