London: Heinemann, 1952. First Thus. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. light shelf wear to book; jacket spine lacking 2.5 cm at bottom, wear at tip and corners, price clipped. The first novel by Anthony Powell. It was first published by Duckworth's in 1931. Reissued by Heinemann in a format similiar to that used in A Dance to the Music of Time. Rather plain jacket in the style employed by Victor Gollancz at the time. Later Heinemann would use jackets in the style of those by Broom-Lynne for all the Powell novels. Uncommon thus.
