Used First Edition, stated on copyright page: http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?1774 Cloth on boards has some minor wear at the foot and head of spine and at corners, but otherwise volume is clean with a tight binding. Jacket has one small eighth-inch chip at foot of spine, but is otherwise completely intact, with some minor wear at the folds.
Sinopsis
Against the Fall of Night is a science fiction novel by British writer Arthur C. Clarke. Originally appearing in the November, 1948 issue of the magazine Startling Stories, it was first published in book form in 1953 by Gnome Press. It was later expanded and revised as The City and the Stars. The original also appeared in a more recent edition along with another unconnected early work: The Lion of Comarre and Against the Fall of Night.
