Japan vellum spine with black lettered gold label, over gray & green patterned boards. Housed in publisher's slightly toned cardboard slipcase with gold trimmed fore-edge and black on gold spine label. Illustrated with 24 unnumbered lithograph plates and numerous woodcut headpieces. Edition limited to 1500 numbered copies (this is #1363). Signed on the limitation leaf by Joe Mugnani. One of the finest illustrated books from the stone lithographs of George C. Miller. Library donation stamp on half-title as well as several text leaves. But for those stamps, a near fine copy (priced accordingly).
