Sobre este artículo

From the front dust jacket flap: "...United States had three brilliant commanders, Rogers, Decatur, and Hull, and it was their job to keep the Constitution, the President, and the one or two other ships that made up the entire U.S. fleet busy harassing the British until a United States Navy could be built. Congress limited the great ship designer, Joshua Humphreys, to build ships no larger than frigates - with the result that he made them the best in the world and the frigate became the fighting cock of the sea."

Book: Very Good- condition. Gray cloth with gilt title on upper cover. Blue label with gilt title on spine. Back cover has a partial crease near top corner. Spine edges have a slight bit of wear. Please see photos. Endpapers illustrated with black & white world map. Inscription to previous owner in pencil on front endpaper, 1957. Pages are clean - except for pages 28-29 that had a newspaper page from the Peoria Journal Star - Thurs., May 11, 1967 with unrelated stories/ads. The newspaper clipping has been removed. Binding is tight, but the book has a slight, barely noticeable curve.
Dust Jacket: Good- condition. White and orange DJ with white titles. Spine faded. Edges and corners worn. Two inch closed tear on front. DJ not price clipped ($5.00). Now in protective cover.
