A vanishingly scarce first edition.Signed by the author, inscribed to the recto of the front free endpaper, inscribed to the Lord Mayor of Manchester, William Kay.'Ahasuerus' is a curious sci-fi novel, in which Ahasuerus, the Wandering Jew, reappears in Manchester on the eve of the Great War.Written by Charles Brumm. Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart, with some minor rubbing to the boards and spine. A few very light marks to the boards and spine, and light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Author's inscription to the recto of the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with scattered spots to the first and last few pages. Ink note to the title page. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
