VERY GOOD PLUS. Covers have a few minor creases, rub marks. Small bit of clear cellophane tape on bottom of spine, but there is no tear. Covers clear and pretty bright. Book has small minor stains on top edge of pages. Due to slightly cocked spine, the right free edges of the book vary and are not flat and even, however no pages are loose. Contents are clean, tight and bright. 3 sections of 32 colour photo plates. Complete book. First edition published in Norwegian 1957. First American edition 1958.
Sinopsis
Aku-Aku, the Secret of Easter Island is a 1958 book by Thor Heyerdahl that described his research at Rano Raraku and Anakena on the many giant stone statues or moai found on Easter Island and the culture that created them. The book and a follow-up film of the same name made a major contribution to general public awareness of both the island and the statues, outside the anthropological and archaeological communities.

IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
