The artist reflects on pottery and clay in a series of brief texts. With an essay by Bruce Berger. Photographs by Jerry Jacka. Includes a short glossary of Hopi terms related to pottery. Qöyawayma is the nephew of the noted potter Polingaysi Qöyawayma, who he comments on in the foreword. Qöyawayma is also a mechanical engineer and founder of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society.
