Black and white illustrated frontispiece. Slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting to front of book, pages remain unaffected. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout, heavier to endpapers. Frontispiece is lightly tanned with some foxing. Slight stains to pastedowns. Pencil marks to front free endpaper. Top edge of text block gold-plated. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends. Staining to front board edges. Dent to bottom edge of front board. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Unclipped jacket is missing front panel. Tears to spine and edges. Severe tanning and wear marks overall.
