Mackenzie was the first European to reach the river named after him, within the Arctic Circle,; he was the first to cross the Rocky Mountains and reach salt water, north of Spanish America. Roy Daniells traces the history and the significance of Mackenzie's jouneys, much of which he himself retraced. Dust jacket has some edge rubbing, Some crinkling to head of spine. Price clipped. Looks good in new plastic cover. Apricot coloured cloth on boards binding is clean and bright. No former owner's name. Text is clean and unmarked. A nice copy. B/W photos.. HC and DJ. Very Good/Good-V. Good. 8 1/4 x 5 1/2.
