Beautifully decorated edition created by Cooper Edens by compiling the best of the best illustrations of Carroll's classic story from various editions that originally appeared in the 1920s-1930s. These appear throughout the 208 pages of text in both full-page, full-color & smaller pen-and-ink drawings. This is the FIRST EDITION, First Printing from 1989, with full number line. It is an Ex-Lib copy, with the usual stamps & markings in front matter, rear endpapers, & top outside page edges. Hardcover book has beige cloth-covered boards with embossed title on front cover/gilt lettering to spine. Condition is VG-: generally very clean, with a bit of shelfwear/rubbing along bottom edges. Interior clean with light surface soiling to outside page edges. Binding strong & straight. Old gift inscription on ffep, else unmarked. The unclipped DJ is downgraded to Good due to significant spine fading & minor edgewear all around, especially at both ends of spine & corners. Old library mylar has been removed & replaced with brand new! DJ had been taped to inside both covers, so there is some tearing there from where it was removed.Our photos depict the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
