Sobre este artículo

Norwalk: The Easton Press, 1977. First Collector's Easton Press Limited Edition. Illustrations by John Tenniel throughout the text. The frontispiece portrait of Lewis Carroll is by James Lewicki. 8vo, full maroon leather gilt lettered and decorated on the spine panel and decorated in gilt on the covers, silk endpapers, a.e.g. [xiv], 172 pp. A pristine copy, as mint. ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND has proven itself to be one of the most enduring classics of literature - for children or otherwise. It has been reprinted in innumerable formats, and its characters have been borrowed by, imitated by, and adapted for almost every media imaginable, from board games to postage stamps, from print to stage and film, and one would not be surprised to find a web page on the Internet devoted to Alice. Its importance might be gauged by the fact that it is one of only three books written for children (five, if one includes Aesop's Fables and Froebel's “Mutter- und Kose-Leider”) included in the "Printing and the Mind of Man" exhibition.
This Easton Press edition was published by advance reservation exclusively for subscribers as part of the collection of "The 100 Greatest Books Ever Written.

Sinopsis

Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There , tell the story of a young girl in a fantasy world filled with peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. The classic tale of literary nonsense takes the reader on an exploration of logic and absurdities. The Alice books — sometimes combined or referred to with the abbreviated title Alice in Wonderland — have been translated into at least 97 languages with over a hundred different editions. The books have also been adapted numerous times into films (both live-action and cartoon), plays, and musicals.
