Collated and complete. One page of adverts to the rear. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, is one of the best known children's books of all time, and has become the favourite to children and adults alike. It follows Alice as she falls through a rabbit role into a strange world with talking animals and magical potions. An early example of this monumental piece of Victorian children's literature. Containing a previous owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown, dated 1874. Internally, hinges are starting. Pages from the front free-endpaper to page 8 are held by a single cord, and will likely detach with further handling. Remaining binding is very tender. Rear advert is detached but present. A few spots to the pages, more prominent to the first and last few pages, though pages are otherwise generally bright and clean. Good Only

Sinopsis

Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There , tell the story of a young girl in a fantasy world filled with peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. The classic tale of literary nonsense takes the reader on an exploration of logic and absurdities. The Alice books — sometimes combined or referred to with the abbreviated title Alice in Wonderland — have been translated into at least 97 languages with over a hundred different editions. The books have also been adapted numerous times into films (both live-action and cartoon), plays, and musicals.
