The book itself is the same for all three editions, quarter-bound in cloth and stunning marbled paper sides made by Antonio Vélez Celemin. Generously loaded with images of Lawrence's work--tipped in samples, reproductions of prints, engravings, sample pages, and photographs, as well as a most thorough text on the history and work of the press. The guard album contains about 40 additional sample pieces, prints, page samples, and other ephemeral items Simon has been accumulating over the life of the Press. Simon intended this book to be the last publication of the Fleece Press, and he has ensured that the Press closes with a flourish!
One of 310 copies, of which it is one of 63 B copies which are accompanied by a guard album of 36 leaves. The guard album is quarter bound in fabric with Freya Scott's marbled paper covered boards.
