Ten books in Three Series, of which, this is the First Series. 1238 pp. Blue cloth over flexible boards with gilt lettering to spine; lacking the dust jacket. Covers rubbed at extremities and lightly creased; spine slightly darkened, gilt lettering heavily rubbed. Previous owner name to front free endpaper. Endsheets tonned, several page corners creased. A nice copy of Gurdjieff's best-known work, uncommon in the British first edition.
