A tight, clean, sound copy in peach paper covered boards quarter bound in red paper with metallic blue lettering on the spine and a blind stamped graphic on the front with very minor overall shelf wear with the usual library stamps and label on the top outside paper edges, the front free endpaper, and the title page. The dust jacket shows very minor overall shelf wear plus it is still in the original library mylar sleeve. A novel set in the Caribbean. The main character is recovering there from an unusual illness that has left her weak and uneasy. She begins a journey into her past looking for the nanny who raised her, who had come from the island of St. Clair and who had died there recently. The young woman arrives at the funeral and upon meeting the family becomes aware how much this woman had given up to raise her as well as how little she actually knew about her nanny. 259p..
