Sobre este artículo
Clairvaux: for The Trianon Press for The William Blake Trust, London,, 1970. First edition thus, publisher Arnold Fawcus's copy, copy A of 26 lettered copies reserved for the Trustees of the William Blake Trust and the Publishers, in full morocco with a set of proofs showing the progressive states of the collotype process, from a total edition of 662 copies on Arches pure rag paper made to match the paper used by Blake. This copy derives from the Trianon Press Archive, from the estate of Trianon publisher and founder Arnold Fawcus. Blake scholar Geoffrey Keynes (1887-1982), the brother of John Maynard, provides a commentary and bibliographical history. He summarises the gnomic intent of Blake's early tractate thus: "Blake identifies the Poetic Genius, that is God, with 'Divine Humanity'. Man is therefore uniform, yet with infinite variety in the individuals. All men, thus derived from a universal Poetic Genius, have but one religion, though each nation has its difference beliefs according to its needs". Quarto. Original green full morocco, titles to spine gilt. With the original marbled slipcase. Facsimile plates thoughout achieved by collotype, some with watercolour washes applied by hand. Slight darkening to spine, otherwise a fine copy.
