The 91 b/w photographs and text by Allen Ginsberg, includecaptions from photographs and biographies of his chosen subjects. Ginsberg pointed his camera randomly at the counter-culture around him, creating a unique visual record of his friends and companions coveringa period of almost forty years. His subjects include Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Neal Cassady, Timothy Leary, Paul Bowles, Robert Frank, dozens of other writers, painters and friends, and several revealing self-portraits. Beneath each photograph are Ginsberg's handwritten reminiscences of the circumstances, people, and places relating to the photographs. Book design is by Jack Woody. Un-paginated with 91 sheet feed gravureplates, beautifully printed on heavy art paper by Toppan Printing Company, Japan.
