FIRST EDITION 1887, small oblong format, 78 x 104 mm, 3 x 4¼ inches, cloth backed glazed colour illustrated cream boards, all edges yellow, green endpapers, (24) pages. Coloured frontispiece, coloured title illustration, 12 half page coloured illustrations for the months and 4 small round coloured illustrations for the seasons, plus 4 pages each with a poem and 2 small coloured flower illustrations (Herrick, Spenser, Shakespeare and Fletcher). Yellow spine very slightly darkened, 1 tiny pale spot to lower margin of upper cover, no inscriptions, contents clean. Near Fine tight clean bright copy. Schuster No.7, 5a.
