Hewit burgundy calf over original marbled boards, speckled edges. 8vo. pp. [iv] blank, [iv], 429, [1] Berichtigungen (corrections), [6] blank. Very Good/Ex-Lib/No jacket, as issued. Bowdoin College oval stamps. Internally there is light foxing throughout a very good copy. Konrad was the son of Swiss philologist Johann Conrad and younger brother of Johann Caspar, teacher of French and Philosophy. He published the first grammar of Old French in 1830 which was later extensively corrected to this, the preferred edition. Scarce. [We rebind and restore books]..
