Popescu's "Amazon Beaming" republished as "The Encounter" tells the story of McIntyre's unworldly experience being caught by an untouched Amazonian tribe which McIntyre feared writing about because, it would likely cost him his career as a professional photographer and explorer. Arm twisting by a Cousteau and Popescu in Manaus convinced McIntyre to tell that story!
