Grey-tan cloth with titles in black & white on front board & spine, xxii, 656 pp, 30 ff b&w photo plates, footnotes, index. Edges of boards and paper somewhat browned, slight wear to spine ends. When Galbraith was appointed Ambassador to India at the start of the Kennedy administration, he decided to keep a journal with the objective of eventual publication. The journal was intentionally one of personal observation, but omitting any state secrets. India fought a border war with China during this period, which was the greatest crisis Galbraith faced during his ambassadorship, which ended in July 1963. Shipping weight 3 lbs.. 3rd ptg. . Books are offered subject to prior sale. You may return any book within 14 days for a refund; if it was not as described, we will also refund return shipping costs (but please e-mail us first). You can place credit card orders through Biblio, or we will ship upon receipt of payment by check or money order. Sales tax is collected by Biblio and remitted directly to your state, where applicable. SHIPPING IN UNITED STATES: Books are priced postpaid, so there are no additional shipping charges for standard shipping. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: In most cases, shipping via Biblio's consolidated shipping program via Asendia is the cheapest option on orders up to 5 lbs. If the actual cost of shipping is more than the automatically quoted rate, you must approve the additional charges before the order will be shipped. Shipping charges will be reduced if shipping weight is under 3 lbs. All shipping charges (except via Asendia) include 17% to cover Biblio fees and commissions that apply to these charges.
