Seven double-paged pop-ups depicting themes interpreted by Robert Sabuda from the song "America the Beautiful", words by Katharine Lee Bates (1859-1929). Book illus. in color and mostly white magnificent pop-ups: Golden Gate Bridge, The Great Plains with 'waves of grain', Mount Rushmore, Mesa Verde, steamboat on the Mississippi River, the U. S. Capitol with Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool, and lastly the Statue of Liberty. Last pop-up page includes a booklet with the words to "America the Beautiful" (July 4, 1895) and illus. with four miniature pop-ups.
