Sinopsis
Susan Sontag was an American author, literary theorist, essayist and political activist. Her novel, In America was the 2000 winner of the National Book Awards. This fascinating exploration into the lives of a group of artistic and intellectual Poles, led by an actress, Maryna Zalezowski is written in a beautiful, fluid prose. The group travels to Anaheim, California in 1876 to try to pursue their dream of a utopian society. They form a farming commune where everyone is changed and challenged by the experience. Artfully written and assiduously researched, it is a novel well-worth reading.
