Hardcover, original full leather binding with black and red labels to spine. The reason for the poor condition grading is because the front cover and first few pages (up to, and including the title page) is detached from the rest of the book. The binding of the remaining pages is secure and text pages are tight. The several pages that have broken loose are all still attached to the front board. The rear board is still attached though only held on by the binding string. No signatures or bookplates present, no library markings. Tissue guard between the two illustrations acting as frontispiece is still present and attached. Only evidence of handwriting found in book is on the front end page where you can just make out where some prices were once written in red and blue pencil. A very good copy for reference or reading as the book is complete. Title page states seventh edition.
