MacMillan, 1888. Hardcover. Very Good. First edition, Macmillan (1888). Three volumes complete. The volumes are bound in three-quarters leather over pale marbled boards, with gilt edges on top of pages. The spines bear the title, volumes number and author embossed in gold, with five raised bands. The leather is in near fine condition, excepting minimal wear on the corners. Prior owner bookplates on the interior cover of each volume. Vol. 1 fold-out map in place. Each volume is protected by mylar exterior covers.
