Full leather with two black titles on the spine. Illustrated including frontispiece of Dr. King with tissue. No ownership markings. Some foxing is present. End papers are marbled. The leather shows some scaring to the shiny surface. The spine front hinge is broken loose and the spine back hinge is cracking but firm; the bottom edge of the spine has a 1/2 inch vertical tear. The spine ends are missing a very small piece of leather. This book was sold by subscription only and there is a note, dated Oct. 26th, 1865 present stating that the book will be hand delivered on "the 6th of November" so please have the money ready. RARE
