Top edges gilt. Tissued color frontispieces. Tissued black and white plates. NOT ex-library. Binding of volume 1 cracked just ahead of title page; webbing visible, but pages not loose. Volume 2 hinges not cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with fraying at tips and spine ends. Heads of spines missing a little of the fabric. Covers have moderate edge wear and surface rubbing. Scratch on spine of vol. 2. Pages clean and unmarked. Edited by W. L. Hubbard; introduction by H. E. Krehbiel. 341+ 326 pages. No dust jackets. Series: The American History and Encyclopedia of Music. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
