An account of the author's travels through the Hunan region of China in the fall of 1962, focusing on the lives of rural people, their use of traditional Chinese ways and the growing influence of China in world affairs. GOOD condition. Wrappers toned, with some soiling and minor staining. Moderate chipping and tiny tears along the extremities. 4 inch split along the lower front cover hinge. Small bump to the lower corner.
