Sobre este artículo
[Cuernavaca]: [Printed by "El Barretero"], 2000. Sewn binding. Fine. Hutchins, Edward. Oblong 32mo size, 32 pp., in both Spanish and English, signed by Edward H. Hutchins and Steve R. Warner, with two hand-coloured illustrations. Book Artist Edward H. Hutchins believes that: everyone has a story to tell; that the best books are not mass-produced; and that when one let's one's imagination soar, the most amazing creations are possible utilizing, often, fairly inexpensive materials. Thus was born - Guerilla Bookmaking.
Ed Hutchins has produced at least over eighty books between the years 1968 and 2005 (perhaps more - gleaned from several sources). Always creative and frequently carrying a social justice message, Ed's books charm and delight. His own web site offers a few books which are still in print; this volume relates, in Spanish (with the English translation following) a short story based on a factual happening; Ed and Steve were in Mexico for a year, and having been there only one week, a scorpion did fall from the ceiling on Ed, stinging him. As Ed shared with us: "I ended up considering how the encounter played out from the scorpion's point of view, and "Amor en el techo" was born"; this work now out of print, and we are pleased to offer it here.
___DESCRIPTION: Aubergine cardstock covers with a single-stitched binding which holds together the two sections of the book, Spanish first followed by the English translation, with the two hand-coloured illustrations (of "Julio" and "Luisa") on the stub page in between the two sections, signed in purple ink by Ed Hutchins and Steve Warren on the colophon page; oblong 32mo size (4.25" by 3.75"), unpaginated with eight leaves in each section, plus the two illustrations, thirty-two printed pages.
___CONDITION: Fine, clean throughout, straight corners without rubbing, the binding strong, and entirely free of prior owner markings; crisp and as new.
___POSTAGE: International customers, please note that additional postage may apply as the standard does not always cover costs; please inquire for details.
___Swan's Fine Books is pleased to be a member of the ABAA, ILAB, and IOBA and we stand behind every book we sell. Please contact us with any questions you may have, we are here to help.
