Pale blue-grey cloth, gilt-on-blue titles, 176 pp, 4 plates with b & w photos from 1937 Theatre Guild production; printed on an attractive laid paper with Random House watermark. Spine cocked, browned by binding glue, and somewhat sunned, bottom corners bumped, bookplate on ffep. Front flap only of DJ is tipped onto fpd, remainder of DJ missing. Comedy about "Jupiter's infatuation with Alkmena, wife of the warrior Amphitryon. Alkmena's one principle in life is to be faithful to her husband, and even the greatest god of them all can win her only after much ungodlike embarrassment and, in desperation, the unsportsmanlike device of impersonating Amphitryon himself." Books are offered subject to prior sale. You may return any book within 14 days for a refund; if it was not as described, we will also refund return shipping costs (but please e-mail us first). You can place credit card orders through Biblio, or we will ship upon receipt of payment by check or money order. Sales tax is collected by Biblio and remitted directly to your state, where applicable. SHIPPING IN UNITED STATES: Books are priced postpaid, so there are no additional shipping charges for standard shipping. We will ship via Priority Mail for $12.00 per order (Save on multiple-book orders!). This may be reduced if actual postage is less than for a medium flat-rate box. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: In most cases, shipping via Biblio's consolidated shipping program via Asendia is the cheapest option on orders up to 5 lbs. International shipping rates are complex (cost depends upon weight and destination), so please feel free to email us for a quote before you order. If the actual cost of shipping is more than the automatically quoted rate, you must approve the additional charges before the order will be shipped.
