List of illustrations, bibliography and index. Black and white photographic frontispiece; and, there are black-and-white photographs throughout. Pink coloured cloth covered boards with black coloured illustration and titles to the front panel and back strip. There is a pull-out map at the view of the book. A small history on ancient Babylonia. Part of the Cambridge Manuals of Science and Literature series. Bumping of the book corners and softening of the back strip edges. The top right hand corner of the back strip is a little frayed. Fading of the back strip and a few marks to the rear panel. Offset tanning to the end pages with faint foxing with age toning to the text block edges and pages. The map at the rear has a little sunning of the front edge and creasing is also present.
