Dark red cloth w gold lettering on spine and colour full-page illustration tipped on front board. Bottom corners rubbed, moderate wear to head and tail. Binding square, joints and hinges sound. Stories to page 245 are indexed. Nine stories follow on the unpaginated pages and these are not indexed. Additional shipping may be required - 23 x 18 x 4cm

The book is awesome, but this posting is confusing. Are the illustrations the Syck originals, or have they been modified by E. Zeerger? It is a First Edition, But not THE first PUBLISHED edition, as that was in the 1950s. I have a copy of this, but the registration of the colors in the color plates was way off, making the illustrations difficult to view and appreciate, to put it mildly!!
