Good plus condition: spine faded; fading to edges of boards; gilt lettering a bit rubbed; lower back corner turned in a little; straight; hinges strong; pages in excellent condition; ownership inscription inside dated 1955--Blanton Seward (a previous bookseller laid in a slip that states "Incidentally, the Blanton Seward who originally owned this book is the grand-nephew of William Seward, who was Lincoln's Secretary of State. He died last year, and I bought his entire library." New plastic protective jacket..
