My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book Interior VERY FINE/ Covers Near Fine. Never read completely, only section on Bees. Coated stock. Covers are white, lettering red/blue, pictorial front. Covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, no bent corners, two faint vertical creases on spine, no edge wear, covers are a bit sunned around the edges, spine is sunned but all text is clear and relatively bright. Page edges clean, bright. Inner end papers are white. Inside of book is tight, clean, clear, bright, flat. Fabulous colour photos, thick good quality paper throughout. With collaboration of Otto Von Frisch, Translated by Lisbeth Gombrich. Magnificently illustrated with 150 drawings and 132 photos (84 are full colour plates). Very fascinating information, I read the section on Bees to a group at a Nursing Home and they were entranced by the way the bees communicate, carry honey, manufacture glue for their hives, etc. Includes many Arthropods and Mammals as well as a Subject Index and an Index of Scientific Terms. This is a heavy well-made book and may require extra postage due to weight.

My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
