Paris, Libraire Garnier Freres, n.d. ca1917. Oblong hardback, 12.5 x 9 inches. In red cloth with full-colour printed pictorial design to front with gilt lettering, and decorative black border. Blind embossed rear board. All page edges gilt. Light grey endpapers. In very good condition. Some rubbing to edges of cloth, small nicks to corners on leading edges. Some minor rubbing to design on front. Some darkening to cloth on rear, small nick to cloth near embossed decoration. Dark spot to spine. Minor vertical crease to front endpaper, neat inscription to halftitle “Eltina, from Daddy in France, 1917.” One or two minor handling marks to page edges, else plates all very clean and bright throughout. Binding nice and tight. One plate (p14 has been professionally repaired at inside and bottom edges. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 50pp. Coloured title page plus 50 cartoons all in colour. Printed on one side, each as a single plate. Cartoons illustrating the things animals get up to when no one is watching. French language captions.

The village has a by-pass now which means there is easy access to the village and ample space for parking. Our shop is directly on the main road through the village.
