First photoplay edition issued to coincide with the 1927 film that was released under the title "Love" and that starred Great Garbo as Anna and John Gilbert as Vronsky. Hardcover in red cloth lettered in black. The front and rear endpapers feature photos from the film. 1027 pp. plus 4 pp. ads at rear. Very good, vintage bookplate front pastedown, no dust jacket.
