Location not stated: Privately published, 1850. Later edition. Two thick octavos (23cm); brown pictorial cloth, stamped in blind and gilt; xvi+vii, 609+591pp, 22+11 plates. Backstrip torn on Vol. 2, partially detached; both volumes have material loss at spine crown and heel; boards show moderate rubbing, chipping and wear, especially to extremities. Textblocks foxed, with offsetting to text; ex libris and ownership signatures on ffeps; a Good reading copy, sound and complete.
