Lausanne: Edita Ltd, 1953. First Edition. Card Covers. Very Good/No Jacket. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall. N/a. 225, 1 (ads.) 1953. First edition of the first ever annual automobile review. This an English language version of the publication which was also published in German or French. A very good, clean, tight copy. No inscriptions. The text supported by numerous photographic reproductions in colour and black-and-white, some full page illustrative plates in colour and a number of line drawings in the text. This copy unusual in that it is housed in the original card wrap-around sleeve that the publication was sent out in. The price of 30 shillings printed in black to both flaps of this card board book box. There is a crease to both corners of the front card cover with some associated rubbing and wear to the extreme tip of the lower front card cover corner. There is a similar light crease to the lower corner of the front card cover - this corner is also slightly rounded at the extreme tip. Two slight thumb marks to the edge of the front card cover. A four page publication entitled 'Trustees of the Brooklands Trust published by the British Automobile Racing Club (reprinted from 'The Motor' March 20, 1957' is included and loosely tucked in. A very good copy of this scarce first issue in scarce original cardboard holder.
