This is a Very Good Copy of this hardcover book in blue cloth binding with silver title lettering to spine,in a Good Dust-Jacket that has several small chips and tears to the pouter edges of the dust-wrapper.Not price clipped.There is one former owner's bookplate to the verso of the half tiltle page of Richard Wyatt Bagshawe (interesting and maybe? a relation of Thomas Wyatt Bagshaw who wrote 'Two Men in The Antarctic' .No price clipped with 25s nest shoing to front flap.The book has a firm binding with NO hinge weakness,there is some light spotting to the endpapers and to the text page edges.Illustrated with 24 b&w plates and there are 5 maps including the endpaper maps,8vo 336pp First Edition 1st Impression [1951] . Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1st Printing. 1951.
