Aeg.Very good. viii, 202 pages. 29 cm. Based on Turner's two-volume work, published in 1826, with the addition of a number of engravings and a completely revised text (So, if not the first edition, then a thoroughly revised and expanded one). The engravings present wind-blown seascapes and workaday seaside scenes from around the south coast -- Ramsgate, Folkstone, Dover, Hastings, the Isle of Wight. Text and all illustrations bright, fresh and clean. Index. Raised bands, spine panels richly gilt with arabesques. All full page plates with tissue guards. Front cover boards slightly faded.
