De prent heeft een Latijns onderschrift en maakt deel uit van een 34-delige serie met als onderwerp de Handelingen van de apostelen. Deze afdruk in de laatste staat van de plaat komt uit de editie van 1783 van Aldernouwkeurigste verhandelinge der geschiedenissen van het Oud en Nieuw Testament ..., deel II. Antieke prent gemaakt door oude meester Hendrick Goltzius. Engraving on laid paper trimmed within plate mark; total: 201 x 265 mm; state III/3; rather cooked paper; the fuzziness on the right side is due to slipping in the printing process, overall in fair condition.
