Sobre este artículo

New York: Farrar & Rinehart, Inc., 1945. CI1 - A first edition ("FR" symbol on the copyright page) hardcover book in very good condition in poor dust jacket that is mylar protected. Dust jacket has price clipped, significant wrinkling, chipping, crease, tears and open tears on the edges, corners and sides, scattered stains, tanning, and shelf wear. Book has some bumped corners and cover edgewear, wrinkling on the spine edges, rubbing and scuffing on the cover, light tanning and shelf wear. Although not marked in any way, this copy comes from the personal collection of Otto Penzler, legendary editor and founder of the Mysterious Press, an award-winning icon in the genre. Somebody's victim falls dead at Henry Gamadge's feet. Whose victim? 7.25"x5", 186 pages. Satisfaction Guaranteed. Henry Gamadge has nothing on his amiable mind but the sun and a gentle October breeze the afternoon he and his elderly cousin, Miss Abigail Ryder, walk over to the Redfield estate to attend Johnny Redfield's party. It is a small and somewhat ill-assorted party at which only the imperturbable Henry seems completely comfortable. When the strain gets too much for Redfield, he suggests that they all go for a walk. Henry, strolling along in conversation with another member of the party, reaches the rock garden and comes face to face with death. Followers of Miss Daly's Henry Gamadge will not need to be told that the witty Henry can quickly turn into even the quickest and most efficient Gamadge is not quick enough to prevent further violence and death.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
